Nestled among the pine trees, granite slopes, and clear waters of the Sierra Nevada, Girl Scout Camp Two Sentinels is a welcome relief from the hectic bustle of suburban life. At 8,000 feet above sea level, the sun heats the skin, the mountain lakes cool the body, and the rocky trails stimulate the muscles. During the day, the sun shines brightly down through unpolluted air, and during the night, the stars are so bright and thick you think that you are looking at a jeweler's display of diamonds resting in curls of velvet.
But even if that doesn't tickle your fancy, eight days and seven nights of fun and adventure might! Crafts, archery, food, hiking, swimming, canoeing, cooking, funyaking, backpacking, singing, making new friends, and gaining a feeling of strength and independence are all part of every session at Two Sentinels Girl Scout Camp!
Two Sentinels is a volunteer-run resident camp, meaning everyone, from the counselors to the cooks, are volunteers. This adds a unique edge to the experience at Two Sentinels, because everyone who works to make each session special is enthusiastic, well trained, and raring to go!
Since it began in the 1930s, Two Sentinels has provided thousands of girls with a sense of independence, fun, outdoor awareness, and life-long friendships.
Two Sentinels welcomes all girls (Girl Scouts or not) that are going into the fourth grade through twelfth grade. As weather and other circumstances only allow us to operate 3 eight-day sessions a year, registration is limited to a first-come, first-served basis! For 2008, registration information will be included in Girl Scouts of Northern California Council's camp brochure which will be mailed out in late February. Once the Council's brochure has been mailed, forms will also be available on this website. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.

This website was created as a Gold Award by Furble in 2003.
As a long-time former camper and current staff member, I have often thought a web site was a much-needed necessity for my beloved Two Sentinels! This camp has been a wonderous place for me, and I hope this site inspires others to join the thousands of girls who, for over the better part of a century, have walked the paths, swam the lakes, and sang the songs that bring Two Sentinels into your heart.
