Clothing Bottoms

To prevent chaffing during hiking and limit bulk in your pack, we recommend lightweight, synthetic pants for backpackers. Long pants are often preferable as trails can go through thick brush and prevent sunburn (remember, you have greater risk of sunburn at high elevation). Zip-offs work great for the fluctuating temperatures we can experience at 8000 ft. elevation.

Where to Buy
Any outdoors store will carry pants that are good for hiking. Synthetic workout pants you can buy at places like Target or sporting goods stores are good options too.

Requirements
  • NO COTTON
  • NO JEANS
  • At least 1 pair of long pants
