WATERBUGS

a perfect first summer camp experience

The Waterbugs are Two Sentinels’ youngest official campers.  As such, they are offered a taste of nearly everything the camp has to offer. Waterbugs go on day hikes, spend time at the craft hut, and try their hands at archery. They are given opportunities to get to know the beautiful nature surrounding them; catching actual “waterbugs” is a favorite activity, as well as evening astronomy. They also get plenty of time at the waterfront: swimming, canoeing, funyaking, and possibly even sailing are all on the week’s agenda.

Waterbugs remain in-camp for the duration of the session, so they get to participate in every all-camp activity, from all-camp campfires to special theme dinners and s'mores parties!

It is not uncommon for Two Sentinels to be a girl’s first overnight camp, and event activities are planned accordingly; girls are sure to get a full camp experience, but are offered plenty of rest time for reading, writing letters, playing games, or even napping. The memories a girl makes at Two Sentinels, and the friendships she develops, are ones she will have for life!

Age: 4th-5th Grades
On Trail: 0 days

Sometimes the Waterbug unit is split into two separate units due to enthusiastic registration: the Waterbugs and Doodlebugs.

We NEVER SEPARATE FRIENDS!

Should it become necessary to split the unit, we will contact you directly to be sure you remain with everyone important to you!
