DOCKERS

life on the water

As a Docker, you’ll spend a fun-filled week paddling, floating, swimming, and splashing around our beloved Lake Kirkwood, as well as taking water-focused day hikes to the various beautiful locations in and around camp!

Docker weeks are full of hours spent on and in the lake (morning breakfast canoe cruise, anyone?), honing canoeing, funyaking, and rowboating skills, and exploring the biology of the various water bodies around camp. Dockers also learn basics of water safety and lifesaving (not a certification course), and enjoy extra opportunities to do the Polar Bear Swim (7AM swim across the lake and back and other units only get to do twice).

Dockers allows girls to enjoy everything lake life has to offer as well as all regular in-camp activities like crafts, archery, nature, and astronomy.

NOTE: All campers take a swim test when they arrive at camp. If you sign up for Dockers, passing the swim test is especially important to have a fun and successful week. We recommend you practice in advance if you're unsure if you'll pass. See First Day at Camp for what the swim test includes.

Age: 9th-10th Grades
